Nek'wilgi means butterfly in Witsuwit'en
which is a transformative being.

Nek'wilgi Pre-employment Program

Our program runs from September to May and we focus on healing, culture, certificates, and work experience.  We accept applications starting in June for the program that starts in September.  We accept 16 students per year. 

About US

The Kyah Wiget Education Society takes pride in supporting our students to either meet the entrance requirements for higher learning or obtain the skills necessary to gain meaningful and sustainable full-time employment.

The programs are offered at the Kyah Wiget Adult Education Center located on the corner of Highway 16 and Loop Road in Witset.

​

​

We are an Independent School certified through the Ministry of Education. Completed courses will be accredited to students’ official transcripts.
